Going back to Cali...

Rach and I had an awesome night last Friday, enjoying a little Roupe Holiday Tradition. We went out to grub at El Gaucho and then caught the ACT Theatre performance of Charles Dickens "A Christmas Carol", which was GREAT! There is not a bad seat in there. After the show, we rolled up to the new Dilettante in the Brix condo complex on Capitol Hill to get some dessert. I must say they have changed quite a bit. The portions are smaller (not that that is a bad thing) and the new location is very nice, but reminds me of a Cheesecake factory. The old version had that eclectic feel that couldnt be duplicated, a real Seattle feel to it. The new location feels like it could be in Anywhere, USA. Of course, the caramel sauce is still ridiculously awesome, so I was stille very pleased, but missed the old locale just a bit....

Rach and I are headed back to CA for 3 days to visit with the in-laws and grandparents and celebrate an early Christmas with them. Then it's back home for our first Christmas at our own home!

Opening Edition

Welcome to the Roupe Scoop, where you can find all things happening in the world of the Roupe's. Mainly in the world of myself, Austin, because I will probably be the only one who actually posts any blogs or even looks at this blog. If we are lucky enough, maybe my amazing wife Rachel will grace us with her presence or we could have my sister, Stephanie, post something as a special guest. The subjects of the blog will probably not be that interesting but will cover such topics as the Holidays, Vegas trips, Whistler trips, Birthdays, nights out, flag football games, hoops games, news in the world of the Roupes and our friends, and pretty much anything I find interesting to talk about, like my favorite condiments or why you should limit cologne to 2 sprays...

I hope you enjoy!
